Graduate Concentration in Entrepreneurship & Innovation
Do you want to be a leader in your field? Do you have a flair for innovation or entrepreneurship, or dream of bringing technological advancements to market?
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Concentration will give you the skills, resources, and experiences necessary to become a successful innovator, entrepreneur, and leader who understands the role of strategic innovation for both the technical and business facets of industry-relevant problems.
Completion of this concentration is officially recognized on your transcript.

- To be eligible for spring, apply by March 1
- To be eligible for summer, apply by June 1
- To be eligible for fall, apply by October 1
Eligibility
The Entrepreneurship and Innovation Concentration is available to students in The Grainger College of Engineering. To see if you qualify, please visit the Course Catalog for a current list of eligible programs.
Requirements
The Graduate Concentration in Entrepreneurship & Innovation requires 12 credit hours of core and elective courses (see course lists below). Make sure to meet with your department graduate advisor to determine how many of these credit hours will count toward your degree. Since you’re earning an additional credential, you may need to earn more credit hours than your graduate degree alone requires.
Note that a minimum of four 500-level credit hours must be taken and a minimum GPA of 3.0 must be upheld.
If you feel that a course not listed below should meet the requirements for the concentration, initiate a petition for a Course/Requirement Substitution through the Graduate College Student Portal and it will route to our curriculum committee for review.
