Landuyt Center certificates are the perfect compliment to your degree, empowering you to become a successful innovator, entrepreneur or leader in your chosen field and at an accelerated pace.

Innovation
The Innovation certificate is designed for students whose interests and abilities are in entrepreneurship, innovative product design and transformative technical products and services. The curriculum includes a set of courses designed to encourage students to become more innovative and generate ideas that have the potential to be breakthrough new products.
- Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
- Courses may not be applied towards multiple Landuyt Center certificates.
- Students must apply before the beginning of the final semester of their graduating year.
Required courses, preferably taken in this order:
| TE 230 - Design Thinking/Need-Finding | 3 credit hours |
| TE 333 - Creativity, Innovation, Vision | 4 credit hours |
| TE 250 - From Idea to Enterprise | 2 credit hours |
| TE 401 - Developing Breakthrough Projects | 2 credit hours |
Attendance of at least 2 innovative extracurricular events:
- SocialFuse
- Cozad New Venture Challenge
- Landuyt Center workshops
- Other events as approved

Technology Commercialization
With an emphasis on creativity and innovation, the Technology Commercialization certificate provides students with the knowledge base needed to explore various options for commercializing technology, a skill that is increasingly important for engineers and scientists. The courses allow students to gain a general understanding of the technology commercialization landscape and how to apply that knowledge.
- This certificate can be completed in as little as two semesters and is available to graduate students in any program.
- Students must maintain a 3.0 average or better in the courses that make up the certificate program to qualify for the certificate.
- Courses may not be applied towards multiple Landuyt Center certificates.
- Students must apply before the beginning of the final semester of the graduating year.
Required:
