Keilin Jahnke

Keilin Jahnke is a Teaching Associate Professor with the Landuyt Center for Entrepreneurship where she works closely with students, faculty, and campus partners to strengthen and broaden the Landuyt Center’s academic offerings including undergraduate and graduate courses, credentialed programs, and unique learning initiatives. Keilin facilitates efforts to create experiences that encourage students to explore ideas, think entrepreneurially, and develop the skills needed to create meaningful impact. 

Keilin has had the privilege of guiding thousands of students through innovation-focused coursework, experiential learning, and entrepreneurial projects and start-ups. She has served on multiple Landuyt Center and Grainger College of Engineering committees, is the faculty advisor for the BS dual degree in ILEE, and is the faculty lead for AWARE, an initiative designed to help students develop resilience and confidence as they explore who they are as innovators and how they can positively impact the world. This work reflects her broader mission of inspiring creative and entrepreneurial confidence in all students, regardless of discipline, background, or career aspirations.

Keilin earned her B.S. in General Engineering, M.S. in Systems and Entrepreneurial Engineering, and Ph.D. in Agricultural and Biological Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Her research examined international engineering projects and the social, cultural, and technical factors that influence the success and sustainability of engineering solutions in rural communities.  Her current scholarship explores engineering education, interdisciplinary creativity, and the entrepreneurial mindset.
